How do I order a book from MFVU?
To be able to order you must create an account. You can do this during the ordering process.
Will I receive a Track-and-Trace code?
You will receive a Track-and-Trace code via email from PostNL when your package is packed and ready for shipment. You can look up when your package will be delivered on the website mentioned in the email.
What do I pay for shipping costs?
The shipping costs are €5.95 regardless of the size of the order.
Who supplies the books?
The Vu Boekhandel sends the books on behalf of MFVU. Delivery is done by PostNL.
I received the wrong book, what should I do?
If you have received the wrong books, please contact us by email or telephone. We will help you as soon as possible.
My order is not complete, what should I do?
It is possible that books from your order are not yet available. These books will be sent to you as soon as possible.
How long does it take for a book to be delivered?
We deliver books that are in stock the next working day. We can therefore deliver almost all textbooks very quickly. If the books are not in stock, delivery of Dutch textbooks takes two and non-Dutch textbooks three working days; exceptions.
I have not (yet) received my order, what should I do?
You can see online whether your order has been shipped or is still being processed.
If your order has the status 'sent' in your account, but you have not yet received it, first check the Track-and-Trace code you received in your mailbox. If you have not received your order three working days after it was shipped, you can send us an email. In order to serve you as quickly as possible, we kindly ask you to include your order number in the e-mail.

How can I pay?
You can pay with Ideal or with a credit card (VISA or Mastercard).

Where can I find information about my invoices and payments?
You can view the status of your orders online and view your invoices via my account. Have you forgotten your password? Request it online via forgot password.

How long does it take for my payment to be processed?
Your payment will be processed immediately after you have paid online via bank or credit card. Your payment will be processed by Worldline and B.V. You can see that you have paid electronically by a statement on the invoice and an email that you receive from the bank.

I would like a copy of the invoice. How do I get it?
You can easily download a copy from my account.

Can I still change the details on my invoice?
You cannot change the invoice yourself (online). If you want a custom invoice, you can contact us by email.

I have returned my item. When will I get my money back?
We strive to refund returns as quickly as possible. After we have received the books back and you have not received anything after a week, you can send an email stating your name and the details of your order.

How can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order during the ordering process. To do this, remove the books from your shopping cart. Have you already paid and still want to cancel? In this case, please contact the VU Boekhandel as soon as possible. Please state your order details in the communication.

I canceled my order, but the book was delivered anyway. What should I do?
If your order has been delivered despite a cancellation, the order was already too far in the process to be able to cancel. In this case, please contact us by email. Please state the order details in the communication.

Which textbooks can I return?
You can return undamaged books according to articles 6, 7 and 8 of our Terms of delivery. Under the Distance Selling Act, the buyer is obliged to examine upon delivery whether the goods comply with the agreement. If this is not the case, the buyer must inform the seller in writing or by e-mail within ten working days of receipt. If it has been shown that the goods do not comply with the agreement, MFVU has the choice to replace the relevant products with new products after their return or to refund the invoice value thereof.

If you want to return a book, you must enclose the purchase receipt (a copy) with the shipment.

Which textbooks can I NEVER return?
With the exception of technical defects, books that have been sold sealed (with plastic packaging) and are no longer sealed will NOT be returned.
Books provided with a code will never be returned! If the books are not returned to us in new condition, we reserve the right not to reimburse 20% of the purchase price.

NB! Study books are NEVER returned in the last week before the exam, nor once the period has ended.

NB! Second-hand books are NEVER returned!

Who pays the return costs?
The costs for return shipments are the responsibility of the buyer.
Return shipments are at the buyer's risk. This means that MFVU is not liable for damage or loss of returned items. Therefore, always ask for a Track and Trace code.

Do I automatically get my money back when I return an order?
If your return shipment meets the above conditions, you will receive a refund of the purchase price. After receipt of the goods by the VU Boekhandel, the purchase amount will be deposited into your bank account by Worldline/Ingenico within two to three working days.

Does MFVU have a guarantee on my articles?
For all items that you purchase through the MFVU website, the statutory warranty rules apply. This means that an item must be in good condition. If you receive an article/book where this is not the case, we will be happy to help you find a suitable solution. We can send a replacement item or refund the purchase price.

I ordered books from MFVU, but they arrived damaged. What should I do?
You have the right to return damaged books purchased from MFVU within five working days. You can return the book by post.

How do I create an account?
During the ordering process you enter your address details and choose the delivery method. You can then view and change your details via my account.
You can also make changes to the delivery address and billing address the next time you order.

I cannot use my email address.
There are times when members try to log in with the account information from the MFVU website. You need to create a separate account for the MFVU web store (this website). It is possible that you have previously created an account with another study association that is affiliated with the VU Boekhandel, or that you have previously ordered books from the VU Boekhandel itself using an email address. In all these cases you have to create a new account to order from MFVU and therefore also use a different email address.

I forgot my password, what should I do?
You can easily request your password via my account on the website. After entering your email address you will receive a password reset link by email.
Note: the email address you use to access the MFVU website does not work. You must create a separate account for the webshop to order books. See also the previous article.

I have moved, where can I report this?
You can change your details the next time you order.

I have a different e-mail address, where can I pass this on?
You can change your details the next time you order.

I want to receive my order at an address other than my home address. Is that possible?
You will receive the books at the address you specified when ordering. Isn't this address correct? You can change your address details in my account or contact us by email. Please state in the communication that it concerns an order via MFVU.

Where can I buy my textbooks?
You can buy textbooks online here.

Can I see which textbooks MFVU has in stock?
You cannot see which books are in stock on our website. But you can count on it that all textbooks for the current and upcoming period or block can be delivered within a few days.

I have ordered a textbook, the course has already started, and I have been waiting for my delivery for several days. What now?
There may be some delay in the delivery of textbooks if the course started some time ago. We do everything we can to deliver your order as quickly as possible. Has the course not yet started and have you not received your order after a few days? Usually, if you don't have it, your fellow students won't either. Apparently there's something wrong with the title. It has not yet been printed or the publisher's stock has run out. We do our best to solve the problem quickly. In case of problems, we inform the teacher.

I bought a textbook, but I want to quit the course. Can I still return the book?
In exceptional cases you can return textbooks in consultation with an employee of MFVU. Immediately state that it concerns an order via MFVU.

I'm going to take a course, but I can't find it on the MFVU website. What should I do now?
No books are prescribed for some subjects. Those courses are therefore not available online. It is of course possible that a course is not listed and a book is needed. We would like to hear about that omission

I would like to buy all my textbooks at once, is that possible?
You can buy textbooks for the whole year, but we strongly advise against it. Not only is it expensive, but you also take a risk. Sometimes there are changes in the prescribed literature, or new editions of books appear. This may mean that you buy the wrong book, or that you have bought a book that you do not need at all. So if you order books per semester, you're always in the right place!

How much discount do I get on my textbooks if I am a member of MFVU?
If you are a member of MFVU, you will receive a very high discount on your textbooks.

Discount on Dutch study books
Before a period starts you will receive a 10 percent discount on Dutch titles when ordering online via MFVU. This has to do with Dutch legislation. You will only receive this discount in the period stated online with the titles. Once the period has started, you will receive a 5 percent discount on the purchase of two different Dutch-language books from a study association.

Korting op English language books
English (study) books are always super cheap, with a discount of 15% on the suggested retail price, if you are a member of MFVU.

Where can I join MFVU?
You can become a member via this MFVU website for the sale of textbooks. When ordering, you click on the button that you are not yet a member, but would like to become a member. MFVU will then contact you to complete your membership.

Does MFVU sell used textbooks?
Used books are sold through this website to members of MFVU.

Can I sell my textbooks via MFVU?
You can offer your textbooks that you no longer need for sale in June of each year. MFVU informs you by email when you can offer your books through this site.

What price do I pay for a used book?
That differs per book. When ordering you can choose between 'used' and 'heavily used'. In the latter case you pay even less, but then there are markings present in the book.
